Dark Web is a part of the World Wide Web that is not indexed by the search engines. One would need the Tor browser to access its content. It is often considered to be a center where criminal activities thrive. In fact, in 2019, a study by University of Surrey pointed out that of all the listings in the dark web, 60% has the potential to cause harm to enterprises. This of course excludes those listings that sell drugs. However, not all is illegal. Like, one can join Tor's “Facebook,” or BlackBook, or even a chess club. Dark web is often confused with the deep web, but both aren’t the same. In fact, the dark web is a subset of the deep web, which is hidden intentionally.
